- Has been figure skating since she was nine years old.
- From age seven to nine she took ballet, which helped her poise and grace on the ice.
- Her mother has been her biggest support in this profession and has always had belief in her.
- Originates from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She still lives there, but also owns a home in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
- Because of her home roots, she has a bit of a Québécois accent. She is fluent in the french language and is briefed in many others.
- Competed in many tournaments, dating back to 1998. From '98 to '99 she competed in Junior Grand Prix's for Italy, Poland, Mexico and France, World Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, Canadian Championships as well as many others.
- From 2004 to present day she's also competed in many tournaments. She's placed first in the Canadian Championships every season.
- In the 05-06 Winter Olympics, she placed 5th in figure skating.
- She has also been asked to be a part of Team Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
- Two days before her short program for the 2010 Winter Olympics, her mother passed away. In true spirit and honor of her mother, she went on to compete for her short program because it would have been what her mother would have wanted. It wasn't easy, but she scored a personal best of 71.36, the third highest score of the night.
- In the 2010 Winter Olympics, she won gold for her team in the ladies figure skating event.
- She considers herself to be a plain type girl, not too exciting or all that pretty to look at.
- Her priorities seem to be mostly placed in her figure skating. She doesn't do the 'out for fun' thing very often. She's a very work oriented person.
- Her mother often told her to "keep believing" and that was her motto in life. As long as she believes it to be true, she can make it happen.
- Is a fan of nature. Scenery. The stars. She always loves looking at the stars at night and has taken the opportunity nightly to do so in Vancouver.
